I’m So Good, Cerebral Palsy Can’t Stop Me

I thank god for giving me the strength to carry on and stay focused through the good and bad times. Even as I type this paper I am sick just got out of the hospital yesterday night could barely walk for the last few days and I already permanently walk with a walker. So anything extra like a pain or a physical injury really slows me down even the more. I have a great family that supports me unconditionally and supports the desires of my heart. The fact that I have Cerebral Palsy and walk with a walker I always feel that I always have to prove my self of completing a task even the more because a lot of people look at me and some peoples first impression of me is “she is not capable of completing a task or the task” whatever that is I may be trying to do. Not all individuals think like this but some do. I am very good because no matter the challenges that I face I still have the desire to keep moving forward. I am very good because I have opened up a online boutique that specializes in jewelry and some of the pieces are custom made by me. I am good because I am looking forward to being a vendor at the MomZ that Rock Luncheone on Mothers Day it will be a event that you dont want to miss.

I am also honored to be in the presents of Oscar Grants mother and R&B recording artist from the television show R&B Divas Lil Mo. I am excited that I have the opportunity to present her with a gift. Who knows all it may take is this artist to wear one of my custom made earrings for a photo-shoot in a magazine and boom I gain exposure. I am good because I am happy to be a senior at Cal State Eastbay and I hope to soon be obtaining my degree in sociology and a second degree in counseling because I have a passion to work with youth in need or troubled youth. I am good because I know this this hard work will pay off and I will be able to have the career of my dreams. I believe that if you work doing something that you love you wont look at it as a job. I love making and selling jewelry and it does not matter what time of day or night someone calls to place a order I do not mind getting up making the jewelry at that moment. I love to see satisfied customers.

I believe that the key to success is staying around positive people. There are people that are always negative and having a self pitty party but you can not just sit around that type of energy because when you stay around those type of people their energy passes on to you and that is not a good thing. I do not look at my physical challenge as a down fall I actually look at is as empowerment. It lets people look at me and say despite her physical challenges she is still pressing forward accomplishing her goals. If she can do it so can I. My circle of support has definitely changed for the better I have awesome friends and a support team and everyone in my circle is doing positive things and I AM VERY HAPPY. i DO NOT WANT TO BE THE ONLY SUCCESSFUL PERSON i WANT US ALL TO WIN I am very good, happy, and blessed
